I was a patient of Professor Frew nearly a decade ago and he guided me through a course of desensitization therapy to my wasp allergy as I was at increased risk of anaphylaxis. I recently learned of his passing from a friend who works at the hospital and I was devastated, he was extremely kind and accommodating and helped me be rid of both a dangerous and anxiety-provoking allergy. I am immensely thankful for his contribution and commitment to the field. I wish his family well and hope that they read this so they know how much of a positive impact he had on my life.
