I first remember meeting Tony at the Nottingham meeting when I was a junior trainee. He stood out there by taking time to really listen to trainees. Later, it was a real privilege to work with him on the BSACI executive, where we enjoyed his friendship, respected his erudition, and really appreciated his unmatched ability to finish committee meetings ahead of time! He was an inspiration: How he managed breadth and depth of clinical activity, as well as a fine research track record, I don’t know. We're really saddened by his untimely loss.
